A Tale of Perfection

I looked at the good, the bad, and the ugly. Never the amazing. The perfection of our very imperfections that only we have learned to love and have accepted. The very imperfections that define our connection and the imperfectness of our every strength and the perfectness of our every flaw. Every wrong move, every step in the right direction, they are one in same, as seeing one’s own reflection. Regrets don’t exist, sadness however over simple things, mistakes, or important moments we might have missed. To define us, is to define perfection itself. Not to be bragged or boasted about. Humbleness and gratuity, we can’t thrive without. No, that would only depreciate the value of a priceless state of being with each other. I looked at the good, the bad, and the ugly. Now I’ve pondered and delved into the amazing. The amazing that no other would see as such. The amazing that makes our individual flaws our mutual strength. The perfection of a myriad of imperfections. Those that define you, and those that define me. Our collection of downfalls, faults, despair, and lack of’s. Amazing, how our most blemished perception of perfection, can be the most imperfect perfection.

Well I'm at work and I just wanted to try posting something from my phooooone. So this is it lol. I'm listening to a combo of mainly Chris Brown's Graffiti album and Alicia Keys' Element of Freedom. And since I brought up CB, I'd like to say everyone needs to keep his personal flaws, mistakes, or past violent encounters out of their mind when listening to his music. Regardless he's still an amazing artist whether he beat up his then girlfriend, Rihanna. Set that aside and let him advance his career like he should be at this point. On a lighter note, love his album. =)

Youtube Rummaging!

So, I was taking in my daily dose of Youtube videos and I stumbled on a young lady by the name of Lisa Scinta. She is my "IT" girl on Youtube for the week. She covers tons of songs on her page, but unlike most of these at-home-unsigned-bathroom singers, she puts a very unique spin on each of her covers. I'm going through most of them now, but my favourite by far as of yet is her collabo cover of "Russian Roulette"-Rihanna, and "Bad Romance"-Lady Gaga. I skim through SOO many Youtube videos of covers upon COVERS and every now and then I find someone interesting who catches my eye. GIVE IT UP FOR LISA SCINTA, and I urge you to watch, comment and subscribe to her videos! She's great.

They are the #1 most popular R&B group on Youtube, called AHMIR. AHH-MAZ-ING!

Anywho, they did a collabo with a very well known Youtube artist I guess you could call her, Lisa Lavie. The video is a cover of Jason Derulo's catchy and popular ,"Whatca Say".

So I'm at the hospital, while my dad is in surgery. I'm here listening to Rihanna's new song "Russian Roulette" and I kinda got inspired to write a little something. So here it is, it's called Bang!...Enjoy! =)

If you're gonna kill me, do it right. You slipped up, no way are you getting a second chance. Close your eyes. No, no, open them, I want you to see that I can't be defeated. You can knock me down. I'll bounce back. You on the other hand....you fucked up. The gun is in my hands now. Bang!

If I could give it a gender, Love would be male, and Loneliness would be female. You seeLoneliness and I aren’t the best of friends. She’s the one who took His place. Rather She took my place and became His Love, and took away His Loneliness. She pokes and prods me. The more She does, the weaker I get. I’m human, I’m not immune to Loneliness. She is the trifling woman who took my spot. He cheated on me. He cheated on me with Her, and now She stabs me in the chest every time She’s near. He is what I had, and what She took away. I’ve fought Her before. It’s one battle I’m not always strong enough to win. She’ll beat me until She thinks I’ve forgotten Him. She’ll creep up on me once She knows I haven’t. She’ll leave me alone for a while so She can be with Him. But She won’t let me have Him back. What She doesn’t know is that, though I can’t ~~kill~~ Her, I can paralyze Her. For She is Loneliness, not emptiness. She only temporarily has me weak, once He comes back, She’ll see Her defeat. Emptiness could never replace Love, that’s why it has no gender. If I could give it a gender, Love would be male, andLoneliness would be female. As many times as He cheated on me with Her, He will always come back to where He knew, Loneliness, He could escape you.

Rant Rampage...

Life. We all have one. We all live our own. I see shit everyday that pisses me off and I'm sure everyone else does too. Why complain everyday about everything in your life that isn't going your way. Or why point out things we all already know because we can see them for ourselves. Our world and society is based on stereotypes. Stereotypes that we and past individuals have set in stone for us. Many manage to escape them, however most accept them and let themselves be molded by what was set out for them from the get go. Why is there always the trailer trash white people making the successful and hygienic ones look bad? Why do we assume all white people eat bologna and hot dogs? Its a stereotype. Why do black people ruin it for themselves before they even get the chance to prove people wrong? Why can't I myself be looked at as an intelligent individual before my own Grandmother tells me I better not be pregnant? Is it because I'm a young woman with a black background? Probably. Why is there always that one Asian that can't drive for shit...ruining it for those who can? Why is there that one Indian always trying to get a bargain...making the others look cheap? Why is there that one bi-racial boy/girl who is overly confident...that makes the rest of us look like cocky jerks? Why is there a terrorist group making it hard for Muslims to roam the streets without being ridiculed and tormented? Because its a stereotype that is easily suited to those that allow themselves to be categorized as such. There will always be the token black guy, the smarter than genius Asian, the immigrant Indian that says W's instead of V's, the white dude who thinks he's black, the hoe that has sucked every guy and his friend's dick, the Muslim girl wearing her hijab/a man wearing a turban who get a hard time about being terrorists, the stush bitch that won't give you the time of day, the little old helpless lady that needs you to baby her, the annoying fuck you can't seem to get rid of, the emo kid threatening to take their own life everyday....I could go on all day. That's life, get over it. But the only reason we see life this way, is ignorance. I could never be a hypocrite and say I don't assume the same things in life. I do. Because I'm ignorant. But does it make me less of a douche bag because I realise that and own up to it? Probably not. Ignorance is like sleeping, its something we can't avoid...no matter how hard we try. You can keep your shit to yourself...doesn't mean the ignorance isn't bouncing around in your noggin'. It's there...always will be. You and I will always judge each other and everyone else based on a first glance. It takes someone special to change your outlook on life and its natural ignorance. To make you realise that stereotypes can be altered and avoided...it just takes more than we are ever willing to put into it. There will always be the honky who lives next to the nigga, who lives next to the paki, who lives next to the nip, who lives next to the terrorist, who lives next to the old bag, who all live in public housing. There will always be the honky who lives next to the nigga, who lives next to the paki, who lives next to the nip, who lives next to the terrorist, who lives next to the old bag, who for all you know or care to know, live in the suburbs. Ignorance is bliss.

WOW! I haven't updated in welll over a month. I even told myself I keep up to date and stick to it. My apologies! =) I've been busy working and living life! BUT, I am back now, sooo no need to worry. To be honest, so many things have happened since I was last on here that I can't even really remember and I don't know what to write. Umm.....oooh yea! I had the pleasure of doing a walking the runway for a special designer friend of mine, Mr. Tyler Kenny. The show was called "The Up & Coming" and was basically a showcase of some new talent about to make it big! It featured musicians, dancers, and of course...FASHION! I'll leave it at that for now, because I'm hungry and Pizza Pizza is calling my name. =) But I'll be back to post few pictures from the show.

First off, I'd like to say that I think it's so wrong for all the news channels to be reporting on Michael Jackson's sexuality, personal life, and his "questionable" molestation charges after his death. Even if you do find out he was gay, or did molest children, or was addicted to drugs, why the hell are you making it such an issue now. He's dead. Leave him alone. This is a video of the 1984 Pepsi commercial shoot, where the pyrotechnics went wrong and caused him sever burns to his face and scalp. The video was obtained by US Magazine. What has been said is that this incident is was triggered his supposed addiction to pain killers. All in all, if you put it all together, what the media is basically saying is that this incident caused his death. Please note, this is actual footage and may be a bit emotional or painful to watch.

Ok so I'm sort of taking forever to post the first Feature buuuuuut I have been working my ass of...at my ACTUAL job lol and I've been too tired to think of anything. Sooooo it should hopefully be up by Sunday. I want to do as much fine tuning as I can to do them justice! Well anyway, quick update....went to the lake yesterday avec the beau and it was fun. =) I'm trying to do some of financial planning for myself so I can plan my birthday trip to Montreal. Ummm... I'm fiiiinally getting a new phone..the Blackberry Storm. LOL I'm excited! Not much else has happened since the last time I was here. Oooh ooh...got my tattoo retouched and for some reason it actually hurt like a B@#$%H! I was sooo upset after when I first got it...all I felt was like tickling but this time it was like someone dragging tiny sewing needles trough my skin and just digging...and dragging...and prodding...and digging! Anyway, I'm going back to get another in the next few weeks...on my finger...my ring finger to be exact. It's going to say "Love" on one side and "Trust" on the other. I'll be sure to post pictures while and after I get it done! Soooo I'm really tired and I'm gonna leave it at that!

Omg. Where to even begin?!!! I was on my way home after work and getting my eyebrows down. It's a beautiful day and I'm sitting in the bus shelter. I was listening to my iPod, not too loud though...I do that so I can eavesdrop on peoples conversations without them knowing LOL! Anyway, some guy walks up to the bus shelter and starts talking to someone...well so I thought at first but later realised it was himself bahaha. I brushed it off because in the area I was, that kind of stuff doesn't surprise me. Next thing I know, he takes it upon himself to go into the street and pick up a cigarette butt. I let that slide too because I see people do that all the time. Not only did this guy pick up someone else's (God knows who at THAT), he then proceeds to put it INTO his mouth, light it, and smoke it. Like honestly, that's absolutely disgusting. The person who smoked that could have Herpes for all he knows, I mean come one. I knew the guy wasn't all together there judging by his self-to-self converation about esp vs. hypnosis, but he had an adult bus pass....AND LET ME TELL YOU THOSE THINGS DON'T COME CHEAP THESE DAYS. If he could afford that, he should have bought his own pack of cigarettes. At least TRY to make people believe you're somewhat civilized. And ohhh no, that's not the end of my rant. I finally got on the bus, avoiding him, only to walk on the bus and see a blonde lady with her shirt half off, her bra strap falling down, her boobs almost exposed, and what appeared to be a smudge of pizza sauce on her upper lip. Are you really SO strung out on whatever it is you're puffing, snorting, licking, eating, injecting, etc. that you can notice how you look? Since when did personal hygiene and self grooming become obscelete to the general public? Brush your teeth, comb your hair, and PLEASE take a shower...PLEASE. If you're too lazy, do it to please God so at least he knows you appreciate and take pride in the body he gave you. Don't believe in God? Then do it just because it feels good to know you're clean and look decent. And if you don't have enough self respect for that, PLEASE, do it for those around you, strangers, family, friends, and all. You smell, look gross...and you're KILLING ME!!!

My mom was telling me about some interview with Al Sharpton that Bill O'Reilly was addressing on his show. I happened to come across it on Youtube and he was having a debate with Marc Lamont. Bill O'Reilly first of all is basically a douche. He's rude and ignorant and doesn't know when he should keep his mouth shut. He decided to take it upon himself to attack Michael Jackson and how big the media has made his death. The way I see it, who gave anyone the right to say such negative things about someone and not only that...only a short while after their death. Anyway, my point is, he's a douche bag. Paha! Punctuality is the KEY!

So I was online just bored out of mind and I found a funny story. "Best Rapper Alive" (in his effin dreams!), Lil' Wayne, is being sued for sleeping in. Apparently, while he was sleeping, his stage was set up for him to do a performance in the Bahamas, mind you this was September 27, 2008. What an idiot. Anyway, a lawsuit was filed today by Red City Entertainment for $432,000. Honestly that's almost half a mill that could've been spent on something else...maybe an alarm clock perhaps. LOL I'm just sayin'!

If you want my opinion...actually I don't care if you want it. Lil' Wayne sucks and deserves to be sued. Pfft...what a dumbass.

"The KING of Pop"

Jermaine Jackson sang Michael Jackson's favourite song, "Smile", today at his memorial. The day proved to be a very emotional one for most anyone who's ever even heard of Michael Jackson. Family, friends, and fans gathered to remember an amazing man who has impacted the world arguably more than anyone else ever has. He's entered so many lives, and touched the spirits of so many who he'll never know. Undisputedly one of the most talented artists of our time, Michael Jackson shaped the world of Pop Music that we know today. Despite turmoil in his personal life, he was one of the most prolific and groundbreaking performers in the last five decades. It's a shame that he lived through torture from media and accusations of horrible acts, and even after his death, they are trying to butcher every last bit of him. He will be greatly missed and if you listen to music or own a TV, Michael Jackson has influenced you more than you even know.

Rest in Peace to "THE KING OF POP" Michael Jackson. Your legacy and talent will forever be etched into HIStory!

Above: Paris, Michael's daughter delivered some heartfelt words about her father, possibly showing some skeptics that there is in fact more to him than plastic surgery and the accused child molestation. He was a good human being and a loving father. I'm sure every eye watching her had a tear, to see an 11 year old girl break down like that is devestating.

Bi-Weekly Features and Featurettes!

Well I'm new to this so just give me a chance to establish myself hear lol. I wanted to create a blog to not only write about daily happenings but I also want to post my opinion on lots of todays hottest news, whether celebrity, political, unique or interesting, well just about anything. I want to give my real thoughts on everything and anything. So, along with my daily dish on events and interesting things and everything in between, I've decided to do a little something extra. Every two weeks I will be posting a small bio on up and coming artists (designers, photographers, singers, etc). Some will be friends of mine who I've known for a while and others will be people I've come across through day to day outings. The people I feature will all be people who I believe have a passion for what they do and who I think will be successful. Everything appears effortless.
